Garth started racing go-karts when he was seven
years old & competed in karts
until he was twelve.
He then started racing Speedway bikes with a
great amount of success until he was fifteen. Garth then did an advance
driver training course with Peter Finley to start competing in circuit
Motorsport in 1996. Below is his racing history.

super sprints throughout the year.

Drove a V8 Supercar Commodore at the hill climb
and super sprint for his 16th Birthday where he came
2nd outright with 60 cars entered.
Easter 1997
Mount Panorama
Drove a LJ Torana sports sedan owned & sponsored
by Barry Jamison and finished 3rd in class 9th outright with over ninety
two cars entered.
1997
Drove a LJ Torana
Sports Sedan in the six cylinder Sports Sedan series and finished third
for the year.
Dec 1998
Mount Panorama
Drove a VL Commodore sports sedan at the hill
climb and super sprint winning his class and finishing equal 1st
outright with 42 cars entered.
Feb 1999
Became the youngest ever champion of the Lithgow
District Car Club.
Easter 1999

Drove a Group V8 Supercar Commodore at the hill
climb and super sprint meeting winning his class and finishing 6th
outright with 96 cars entered.

Garth raced at the Bathurst 12 hour
in a Holden Commodore VY SS Production Car & qualified the car first in
class & tenth on the grid to be the second non turbo car
